The National Foster Parent Association is an organization which strives to support foster parents and give a strong voice on behalf of all children. If you are interested in learning more about this organization, check out www.nfpainc.org. Are the kids in your home looking for a good resource? The national network for youth in foster care offers articles of interest, message boards, talkback, and fyi forms. www.fosterclub.com For our Rhode Island parents: The statewide foster parent association page is www.rifpa.org. There is also a Foster Parent HelpLine run by the Rhode Island Foster Parents Association. This is a peer support service that is available statewide. It is staffed by foster parents who understand the issues and situations you face on a daily basis. You can call with questions or when you simply need to talk. Your call is confidential.
